Summer 2024

Summer

Kitchen transformation in a classic Georgian terrace house, converted from a back bedroom with an unusual layout featuring a prominent chimney breast and a large sash window that floods the space with natural light. Designed for an Italian couple, including a professional chef, the kitchen uses fully freestanding units thoughtfully divided into distinct cooking and washing areas, with a stainless steel sink and integrated dishwasher for functionality. A custom Welsh-style dresser with sliding doors and open shelves provides elegant storage, complemented by a built-in bench seat with hidden storage beneath. The steel frame is powder-coated in vibrant RAL 2001, paired with warm birch plywood fronts and a sleek laminated Formica worktop in soft RAL 9018. Additionally, a cherished 1960s wall unit brought by the clients was carefully restored—its glass replaced with textured reeded glass and repainted to match the worktop and a calming Blue 5024, blending vintage charm with contemporary design
