We love a small kitchen. This compact bespoke kitchen in a former council flat in Mile End, East London, proves that great design can shine in small spaces. Created for a city-based client who wanted a kitchen that felt like part of the living area, the design balances function and style. Powder-coated steel frames in RAL 5024 (cool blue) are paired with warm birch plywood fronts for a clean, contemporary look. The handleless units keep the aesthetic sleek, while a slim open shelf provides space for spices and oils. A powder-coated steel and glass wall cabinet showcases glassware and ceramics, and a tall, narrow pull-out larder maximises storage. The Formica worktop on a birch plywood core adds a retro touch, complemented by characterful lighting from Spark & Bell. A perfect small kitchen with no compromise on function, storage, or design details.
